ESSAU AND JACOB

I know of a two brother
One of them Heir Apparent
The other beloved by his mother
Which makes treachery brew latent
To which the other did not bother
Easy of ways in his purpose and intent
But the other wears cunning from his sleeve to shoulder
Deceit is his stock in trade without repent
Foretold by his holding to the older’s heel even from the wombs boarder
Hung on his mother’s apron even as a toddler
But the free spirited elder brother was admired by his father
For he was simple and in Righteous ways never relent
And with equal love he cherished his parent
Towards deception his heart never bent
So protective of his brother was he that he was wherever he went
Named Esau for what destiny saw though patent
And the cunning as fox one was named for the trickery latent
Each grew and live to fulfil their destiny to full extent
Born together yet divided forever
Like my mind and intelligence
One to be counted on through tick and thin for resilience
The other a fox in the box, sly and full of pretense.
